Oh, Mother Earth...

Have you ever looked at a butterfly and
wondered why it's in the city?...what it's doing around so much pollution, and why would it risk being flattened on someone's windshield? Our towns weren't always this bad for the environment, Our cars, our planes, our trains..a lot has changed to corrupt mother earth and her lovely inhabitants. Which is why I was delighted to see this monarch, at the Chickasaw National Recreation Area, when I took my Sulfur camping trip. It was great to be able to get this close to the butterfly in a habitat it should be used to, full of fertile trees and green grass and Dirt, for this is a "dirt" planet.
Sometimes I wonder if our humanity is doomed, if my experiencing nature will turn out to be one of the hardest things someone will ever have to do...an animal in captivity is not experiencing the wild, a tree farm..though beautiful, is in itself just a gigantic FARM.. Nature should be free as it once was, it should be wild..not cultivated.

We went camping because it was on my "list of a million things to do", but Experiencing nature was also on my list and I'm glad I got the chance to do it before we kill what nature really was...
