I need room...

So, I attempted to work on garb without a craft room set up..it's not working at all. I love having roommates, but i can't wait until there gone so I can get some sewing done, and any craft in general. Its tiring, but it's getting there

Lucky

Seeing as how I don't have a dog to walk and my roommate doesn't take care of his. I've taken to walking that dog, and the fact that he doesn't have to be chained up, only going so far makes him so happy..I've seen him try to chase a squirrel, meet new dogs, and try to talk to kids. Never once have I seen him be mean or vicious towards anything..which is there excuse for keeping him on a leash in the backyard. It makes me wonder if they really know what "animal cruelty" means. I love that dog and if I could convince them to leave him here when they move. I would, for now..at least i know he's having fun..if only hanging out with me

He's my Ninja Cat

It took several years but I have finally adopted a pet. When I took him the name they had given him was Mufasah, however, he has been renamed to Ninja.
This cat tries to be sneaky and it amuses me, the fact that I found a cat as weird as myself is just wonderful. A person's pet should fit their personality and he does.

mmm...brownies

Brownies are the only form of chocolate that I am willing to eat with no complaint;being female I know that's odd, however I've never really questioned it....
Baking anything for me though, has always been a challenge. I once made charcoal black cookies, from the premixed batter even. Extremely talented that way.
So when at 11p.m. , my friends decided we should try baking brownies, the only reason I said yes was because i figured I wouldn't do most of it.. Then I realized that "bake brownies" was on this list. Also that Maura was determined to teach me to cook. Baking brownies from those boxes weren't near as hard as I'd imagined it to be. My favorite part about it was the company. being able to talk to one another about things we hadn't in forever because it was my first time seeing them in two months, the almost messing up the measuring 5 times due to lack of glasses,
the sitting down with the gigantic brownie and glass of milk and eating it while watching a romantic comedy. Being a girl... it's rare that I actually show any sort of female behavior but ironically enough, "the woman's work in the kitchen", actually did that.

Camp at little Niagara

So, little Niagara is located in Sulfur Oklahoma, named for the smell and obvious sulfur from the spring and surrounding area.
You can't actually camp there but the Recreation Area has several miles of camping areas and take hiking trips to explore the creek and get to little Niagara and actually swim in the freezing cold water.
I loved it. It was very different :the mundane camping and the society camping, I had my purse, tent, bedding and air mattress- a drastic reduction to what I generally bring, even for an overnight camping. It was gorgeous, HOT but gorgeous. Watching the Bison graze, witnessing a lovely butterfly land not even a hands length away from me and being able to witness the fertility of the land, the ripening of the fruit tree, it was a wonderful get away from what is hustle of everyday life

Oh, Mother Earth...

Have you ever looked at a butterfly and
wondered why it's in the city?...what it's doing around so much pollution, and why would it risk being flattened on someone's windshield? Our towns weren't always this bad for the environment, Our cars, our planes, our trains..a lot has changed to corrupt mother earth and her lovely inhabitants. Which is why I was delighted to see this monarch, at the Chickasaw National Recreation Area, when I took my Sulfur camping trip. It was great to be able to get this close to the butterfly in a habitat it should be used to, full of fertile trees and green grass and Dirt, for this is a "dirt" planet.
Sometimes I wonder if our humanity is doomed, if my experiencing nature will turn out to be one of the hardest things someone will ever have to do...an animal in captivity is not experiencing the wild, a tree farm..though beautiful, is in itself just a gigantic FARM.. Nature should be free as it once was, it should be wild..not cultivated.

We went camping because it was on my "list of a million things to do", but Experiencing nature was also on my list and I'm glad I got the chance to do it before we kill what nature really was...

Step in a strangers footsteps..

I'm sure I've done this before, but I have decided to journey into someone Else's life to understand them just a small bit by doing something someone else has done. I want to try to make it something I can be proud of as well.
I'm not sure what it'll be..I'll let ya know

As strange as this may sound. I have finally found a person to step into the footsteps of : me

It's been years since I started this, and still very few is actually accomplished because I wasted the last five years on a guy with interests so different from mine that we never did anything I wanted. Also he wasn't the greatest person to express your dreams to. It's finally over. It's been over for months. Finally I have accepted it, now it's time to step into my own life. I've been walking in his shadow too long.

I had to been stepping in someone's footsteps and I do consider him a stranger because after spending time away from him I realize he switches personalities to meet whoever he has a new crush on. Even when we were together, he did that. At first we had a lot in common. Then we didn't. Now it's time to step out of the strangers footsteps and into my own.

I'd say it was fun but it wasn't. This was supposed to help me understand someone better and now all I know is that he doesn't even understand himself

Yes I drank from that....

So, I drank from the water of Antelope Springs...
Why? mostly because I wanted to say I've done it and experience the benefits. Not only are there no chemicals from fresh spring water and they are full of minerals; but spring water is said to have a healing effect because of the them. Tasting the water, I didn't taste anything different, it was water, it was better than tap water but not as good as the water from Fiji the sulfur in the water is also said to help you..we'll see. If nothing else, at least I got a cool picture
